Renewed Bsc & Msc Infonomics program

As off September 2006, the Maastricht University will offer a redesigned Infonomics bachelors and masters programme, completely adjusted to meet the demands of the Information Society. The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FE&BA) at Maastricht University is the only faculty in Europe that offers a programme which combines your interest in Economics, business and Information technology. The programmes are small-scale, which means that there is close contact with the academic staff. The most important features of the programme are:

  • Both the BSc and the MSc programmes will provide a unique focus on business, economics and information management. Both programmes provide you with a broad and profound knowledge on the economic role of information and information technology in business and society.

  • The BSc in Infonomics will specialize at an early stage: only the first year of the bachelors programme is the same as the other Economics programmes. The second year you immediately start in the specialised Infonomics programme.

  • The BSc in Infonomics will provide you with unique opportunities to study or work abroad during the third year of the programme. Students may decide to study at one of the 135 exchange partners in 39 countries worldwide. But also, the Infonomics programme will provide the opportunity for an internship in an international firm or government agency.

  • Both the BSc and MSc programmes in Infonomics provide a unique corporation of teaching staff from various departments, guaranteeing the broadness of both programs as well as a high level of specialisation within individual courses.
